We believe that all ministry is about serving our King Jesus. We strive to do so with excellence and intense passion as we reach out cross-generationally, equipping people through the Word of God to find their calling, flourish in their gifting and living authentic lives that bring change to the world.
Here at Philadelphia we value children in the Kingdom of God from all walks of life and backgrounds. We have a great team of dedicated kid’s ministry staff who bring the life changing message of the gospel to our children in an age appropriate and relevant way that allows them to interact with the truth of scripture in a fun, loving, impactful and safe environment.
We are passionate about this generation and aim to instill within them a passion that burns for Jesus! Seeing our youth take a stand for Christ in this generation is our greatest desire for them. Come and join us every Friday night for loads of fun, participate in passionate worship and engage in a heartchanging Word.
University students and the working class so easily become the “lost generation”. We’ve seen the need to reach out to this group in striving to provide a firm grounding in their lives as they embark on building their careers, social circles and their own families. Our desire is that they are firmly anchored in Christ and that they can withstand the many pressures they will face in the days that lie ahead. Come be a part of our crazy-fun-loving group of young adults that meet once a month.
We believe in the value of “One-Another” and creating a sense of community. Our “Phileo-Sisterhood” is a gathering of women who reflect the love of Christ to each other and their community at large. Aligning ourselves with the vision and mission of our local church, we seek to embrace women, empower women and be life changers in the lives of other sisters. Do not miss out on this wonderful company of girls who love Jesus.
Men of Philadelphia are an amazing group who come together every Saturday morning at 6am to stand in the gap and seek the face of the Father as well as gather twice a month on a Friday evening to encourage, inspire, impact and strengthen men in their circle as well as beyond that to their communities, market places, social groups and families.
“Ithemba” is a Zulu word meaning hope. “Philadelphia” means brotherly love. Put them both together and that gives life to something powerful, something beyond just words. That is what this arm of the ministry at Philadelphia is about. To create a sense of hopefulness in the world of someone who may be experiencing despair, to show that we love and care about the suffering of the people that are our neighbours; that we hear them, that we see their plight and that we are prepared to be the hands and feet of Christ by the simple act of reaching out in love.
